What started Plant Pals?
Rebecca Brown, an ambassador Girl Scout, is pursuing her Gold Award through Plant Pals. The requirements of the Gold Award focus on helping a real problem within the community, sustainability, and being girl-led. By working with friends and family, the Plant Pals team has created this organization to help spread awareness about the benefits of houseplants, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our Mission:
Living in Ohio means a lot of time inside during the cold months. In order to combat not only the rise of indoor pollution, but also seasonal depression, insomnia, and other harmful side effects, we decided plants were a great way to make a difference. On this website and on our Instagram page (@plantpals2023) the Plant Pals team has worked to compile helpful tips and tricks so anyone can become the plant parent of their dreams. Furthermore, on July 22, 2023, a mini plant fair will be held for anyone and everyone to attend and leave with a plant or a plant clipping of their own for free!
